Review & Giveaway- Little Adventures Dress Ups
Recently I had a chance to talk to one of the great folks from Little Adventures, a company started by two moms who had realized that there was a need for good quality dress up clothes at affordable prices people could afford. The rest as they say is history!
Little Adventures makes some of the best costumes I've seen in a long time so it only made sense for me to do a review for their little Fireman dress up right? I am so glad I did and I can only say that the quality of it is so awesome! Made of quality fabrics this dress up set came with a durable plastic hat, pants with elastic waistband, and a fireman's coat with shiny stripes and badge on it.
I also like how they use wide Velcro strips instead of little buttons or ties that are harder for little hands to fasten. MonkeyBoy can put his outfit on and take it off anytime he wants without having to wait for Mommy to help him. All of their sets are like this and that includes the ones for the little girl's as well.
Each dress up is completely machine washable and dryable. Trust me, these are not going to fall apart just because you wash them. MonkeyBoy's fireman set has already been washed twice and it isn't coming apart anytime soon.
Little Adventures makes capes, princess dress ups, accessories, fireman sets, and many many more! I would highly recommend contacting one of their online retailers (or maybe consider becoming one yourself) and getting one of their great dress up sets for your little boy or girl to use as a Halloween costume and then an ever after dress up.
Oh wait, you noticed the word "giveaway" in the title didn't you? You didn't think I was just posting a review here on LWH without reason did you?

Well since you patiently read the whole review (you did RIGHT??) AND Halloween is just around the corner, how would you like the fact that Little Adventures also gave me one of their Deluxe Cinderella Dress Ups (picture on the right) plus the Choker and Headband set (below on the left) for one of my lucky readers to win?!
The Deluxe Cinderella set is a little girl's dream come true when it comes to a Halloween costume AND Princess dress up! There are no itchy fabrics or underskirts to bother your sweety, each dress comes with completely finished seams and hems, and as I said before the whole thing is machine washable. This giveaway will be for ONE Cinderella and Accessory Set size 5-7 years but you will have a chance on two of my blogs to win it.
So would you like to know how one of you lucky folks can win this set for your little princess? My favorite costume was a majorette. :-)
my favorite costumes where what I could find around the house mostly my mama's hippie clothes
Sorry, Jo. I have no desire nor use for that costume despite what ridiculous thoughts are running through your head... :)
But you wrote up a nice review here and I'll definitely be checking out their website and dress up clothes. Our kids love putting on their ol' Bob the Builder costumes.
And even though I am not entering (so please do not count this as an entry), my favorite costume growing up was probably one of those super cheesy costumes in a box from the 70s, when I got to be Chewbacca! Growwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwl!
My favorite dress up items was my mom's clothes, from high heels & dresses to shirts and necklaces.
I don't have a girl so I don't need the costume, but it's still so cute!!! I've been thinking of gettign a few random costumes and putting together a dress-up box for the boys. So I'm checking out all the costume shops. Hopefully after Halloween there will belots of sales.
As I wrote in your other blog, my favorite costume (at least the only one I can remember) was a huge black plastic garbage bag with holes cut in it - I was a witch, my brother was a wizard, it was a groovy black dress, and anything else our imaginations could come up with! :)
my favorite was when I was a mouse with this huge yellow foam around my waist like cheese.
I don't need to win it--no little girls to wear it here. ;) (and OK, I know that boys can wear dresses in dress up too. I'm fine with them doing that at preschool ;) )
Anyway, I just wanted to share that the only costume I remember is the year my mom gave in and purchased a cheapo costume from the store, as opposed to making a great one. Embarrassing! The costume was Strawberry Shortcake, and I think I was in 2nd grade. It was a plastic tie-over costume--plastic with the strawberry shortcake clothing printed on it. And a plastic strawberry shortcake mask. Pretty horrid!
my favorite costume as a kid was my Dorthy (from Wizard of Oz) costume...it was my favorite movie, so needless to say, yea!!!
My favorite was a clown costume made from scratch.
My favorite dress up was playing in my mothers long nightgowns. I loved to pretend I was a princess in them.
I was 5 years old and dressed up as Little Red Riding Hood. I felt very grown up, cause there was no way my mom would have let ME walk to Grandma's house for real. ;)
Hi Jo! I am alive...see. I still know where the internet is found. Like I told you in my e-mail. I am just taking a blog break for a few months. (That could be until late May-cringe!) I really miss blogging. Oh, well. See ya around!
Count me in please. My favorite was always a princess costume.
I blogged your contest too in my Saturday Edition Of Contests Galore
My favorite costume was my first costume I ever wore. A witch! *lol* my kids think I still put it on from time to time.
Oh, that is too cute! My daughters play dress up all freaking day long. LG used over half her birthday money to buy a fancy dress costume. She especially loves Cinderella!
I can't remember what I liked as dress-up - I know my favorite costume for an event was when my friend and I dressed up as dice on roller skates - rolling dice! :)h
